Ticker Request Live: Tuesday Afternoon, Charts on the Screen

I’m of the MTV generation — when it actually played music videos.

There was a show where you could call in and request a song. This was before the internet shaped how we discovered music, so watching something appear on screen because someone asked for it felt new and exciting. Even when I didn’t call in myself, I loved seeing what other people requested. If someone cared enough about that song to ask for it, there was probably something there worth paying attention to.

Ten years into this trading education business, I decided to create my own version of that idea.

Instead of Total Request Live, it’s Ticker Request Live.

We’ve completed eight broadcasts so far and we’re continuing through March and beyond.

What Happens on Ticker Request Live?

On Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. Eastern, I host a free 60-minute live market session. You can attend inside the Zoom webinar or watch through the YouTube livestream.

I open “the phone lines” via the chat and start taking ticker requests. I load them into my TradeStation charting platform so everyone can see the queue, and then I work through them one by one.

Most shows analyze between 20 and 30 charts in a single hour! The pace stays efficient, but each chart receives a complete technical review focused on what the market is communicating at that moment.

Some traders attend every week without ever submitting a ticker. They come to observe how different markets behave under the same analytical lens and to sharpen their own chart reading skills by seeing repetition across many examples.

What Tickets Can You Submit?

If I can plot it on TradeStation, we can analyze it — stocks, ETFs, futures, forex, or cryptocurrencies.

It doesn’t matter whether you actively trade the ticker you submit. You can bring something you trade regularly, something you are researching, or simply a market you are curious about. The value comes from seeing how price, levels, and momentum interact across different instruments.

What You’ll See on Each Chart

Each ticker receives focused technical analysis. I establish the prevailing trend, define key support and resistance, evaluate momentum behavior, and reference my RSI Power Zones indicator as part of the process.

At times, I also apply forecasting techniques or momentum pattern work. When I do, I briefly step away from screen sharing, run the technique, and return with the result so the emphasis remains on the outcome and its implications for the chart.

The session provides repeated exposure to real-time analysis across many markets. That repetition builds skill and strengthens pattern recognition.

What Traders Are Saying

Since launching Ticker Request Live, traders have shared that one of the most valuable aspects of the show is learning how to analyze charts in real time. Many specifically mentioned timing exits using price action and RSI, understanding forecasting targets, and seeing how levels and momentum work together.

Several attend to get perspective on their own tickers. Others come to confirm whether their forecast aligns with what they’re seeing on screen. One trader described the value as “the lessons built into each ticker review.” Across experience levels, the theme remains consistent: exposure to repeated, live chart analysis strengthens skill and builds confidence.

Who Benefits from Attending?

Any trader can benefit from attending Ticker Request Live.

Beginner traders gain consistent exposure to foundational trend and level analysis. Intermediate and advanced traders deepen their understanding of price, time and momentum analysis.

The session runs as a live analytical broadcast. I focus on the charts and move through the queue. You see the analysis exactly as it happens.

How Can You Join The Show?

Ticker Request Live runs for 60 minutes. I take requests until about 5:25 p.m. Eastern and complete the final chart into the 5:30 close.

Some weeks I share a short lesson at the end. Some weeks I provide an update related to current market conditions or an upcoming session. Each broadcast reflects what is happening in the markets at that time.

Replays remain available for one week before being replaced by the next show.
